As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Ordained Minister Dr. Lisa has made it her life’s mission to walk beside those seeking a greater understanding of their “true self.” This search for one’s meaning and purpose in life is many times thwarted by familial relationships, societal influences, economic constraints, identity issues, traumatic life events, lack of focus, chemical imbalances, drug use or abuse, etc. It is Dr. Tait's belief that through a mutual process of respect and confidentiality the client and counselor can begin to create a space of healing, higher self-esteem and self-love, and ultimately positive growth and change. "The goal of therapy is to move my clients from a place of 'no or low self-awareness' to a place of 'high self-esteem and awareness' states Dr. Lisa. This process or shift is aided by Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Strength Based Theories, Mindfulness Yoga, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Treatment, Spiritual Counseling and other treatment modalities as needed. Dr. Lisa also specializes in the administration of Clinical AOD Assessments and counseling for all ages.
